Salzburg

Today in Salzburg, we did the Sound of Music Tour. We went with Bob's Tours http://www.bobstours.com/main.php It was very fun, they have a small 8 passenger bus so it is more personal and the bus is able to go where the large tour busses cannot.

Here is Paul and I being Liesel and Rolf singing, "I am 16 going on 17"

This is the view of the back of the Von Trapp family house. Several exterior scenes were filmed here. The gazebo was originally here, but all the tourists bothered the town people so they moved it several times until it found its current place.

This is the inside of the church where Maria and Captain Von Trap got married.

We stopped for a little snack break.

Sorry mom, Diet Pepsi sucks, I am a Coke Girl now!

This is the view from the cafe.

Also in the middle of our trip we went on a Luge ride. It was VERY fun.

This is Paul (in the back) and Elizabeth and I (in the front) going up the hill.

Here is a picture of me on the scooter after the ride.

This is a picture of Sandra and I, she was our tour guide!! She rocks!!

See the castle over my left shoulder?

See it over my shoulder? We sure did a lot of walking today!!!
After leaving the castles, we drove into Austria and went to Hallstatt.

Here I am looking over the town.

After lunch we drove to Salzburg.
We went to see a concert. It was magificent.
After the concert, we went to have some beer. Look at me, I am a two fisted drinker!

Munich

Today we went to BMW Werk (World) http://www.bmw-werk-muenchen.de/lowband/com/en/index.html

I think this model suits me, don't you?

The only problem might be seeing over the steering wheel!

After BMW Wert and the BMW Museum, we went downtown (It is summerfest in Munich)

We had a sausage and beer, then headed out to Dachau

In Dachau, we visited the Concentration Camp Memorial Site http://www.kz-gedenkstaette-dachau.de/index-e.html

After a little rest, we decided to take the U into town and get some dinner.

Well, and a drink!

Zurich and on to Munich

Today was a national Swiss holiday so most everything was closed.

I did have a nice time looking at the sites through town.

It was raining when we went out this morning, but the sun came out and it was beautiful.

Here I am meeting a new friend, Mr. Swan.

Next I took a photo with some bells, then the owners wanted a photo with me too.

I ran out of clothes, I hope the laundry finishes soon!!!!

We had a nice dinner in our room.

Sorry, Mocha had a bit much to drink when we weren't looking.....

The Black Forest

July 30th... Beginning the day in Baden Baden, I looked out my hotel room in the morning at the beautiful town.

After a morning stroll and some breakfast, we took off for a drive through the Black Forest.
We went to the Open Air Museum http://vogtsen.land-in-sicht.com/index.php

It is a very beautiful place.

Here I am playing in the kitchen. Cooking on the stove and making some butter.

I thought I should weigh myself incase I gained some weight from all the eating I have been doing.

I went to check out the carriage and get the pitchfork to muck out the stalls.

OMG!!! I guess I shouldn't have been playing by the saw!!!
We drove on to Staufen to find a hotel.

After all that excitement, it was time for bed!!!!
July 31st.... Black Forest and then on to Zurich
It was a beautiful day!

You can see the view from our room.

Once we got up and had breakfast we took a walk to the ruins.

You can see the ruins in the background

All the way up to the ruins, there were many grapevines growing.

Looks YUMMY!

Mocha, what are you thinking?????

Well, it doesn't say no Bear poo.

After we left Staufen, we went through the Black Forest again.

This time we went to the Clock Museum. http://www.deutsches-uhrenmuseum.de/

Mocha, don't touch!!!!!

After the clock museum, we drove to Triberg.

Here I am at the waterfall. http://www.triberg.de/

After the waterfall, we drove to Zurich to stay the night.....
